If you want to duplicate dvd, insert source dvd, and choose 'copy dvd'. If you want to burn your avi file to dvd choose 'create iso dvd' and just drag&drop avi from right browser (HDD) to the left (files to be written). This message was posted from a T610

Using nero you can burn the AVI to DVD using Nero Vision Express.

If you want to "Back Up" a DVD, download "Any DVD (you can download a trial)" which overrides all region codes and Copywrite protection. Then also download DVD Shrink (Freeware) which will do a complete backup and resize DVD9 disks to fit on a 4.3g disk.
You can also just backup the film wiothout menus etc.

If you just have an AVI to put on DVD then use Nero Vision Express.

Yep use that. Will also allow you to add chapters, menus etc.
