This is something I'd be quite interested to hear about. As far as I'm aware all Sony Ericsson phones use Symbian of some kind, but which variant do you prefer? The grace and style of UIQ, or the coarse flavour of Series 60?
Esato doesn't allow polls so I've got one running over on my forum. Guest voting is enabled, and I'll post up the results here if this topic actually generates any interest

Oh, and it's UIQ for myself. Gotta love those P-Series!

Not exactly!!
Only the Pseries use symbian amongst all

models..
UIQ earlier and noe UIQ3 in the 990.
But i perfer series 60 to UIQ just because i feel the styli base operation on a touchscreen too cumbersome.
I'm not talking about the capabilities here only the user friendliness part.
Edit: Just saw your poll, series 40 is not symbian btw...

I also find the UIQ OS cumbersome due to the stylus- it still doesn't recognise my handwriting.

UIQ for me. I've got used to my P900's more porcine dimensions and as thus thoroughly enjoy the stylus input, particularly for more basic things like texting.(my stylus-input speed is far greater, more akin to a rabid woodpecker perhaps...)
However,I have just received my Nokia 3230 (refurbished)that I ordered from O2's website for £60 and am really enjoying both the user-friendliness of S60 with this handset,as well as the range of applications (and games!) that I have downloaded from the net this morning...spoilt for choice.
