> Is MMC and SD the same thing?

I see a lot of card readers etc using the same slot for SD and MMC cards. The Sharp 902 has and SD slot, just wondering if it will accept and work with an MMC or not? Can anyone highlight the differences?
Cheers

So for instance on a Sharp 902 where it has an SD slot would an MMC work?

Yes it should,
The only difference is that MMC cards are slightly thinner than SD ones.

I think you can 'lock' an SD card because it has a switch on the side.
the mmc does not have a slider switch

Yeah i think it is. What megapixel is it? I use a (white) Sony T33 (japanese i think) very similar to the T7 but thicker and better battery life. But it has the same 5.1 megapixel CCD sensor in it. Using a 1GB Sandisk memory stick pro duo in it.
