Hey,
I have a k750i which i managed to get working again for a month or so after dorpping it into water however the damage is starting to show now as buttons have stopped working.
Where would be a good place to send my phone off to be repaired?

Water damaged phones are normally only worth throwing in the bin when they finally die. The water destroyes the main board and thge screen which are the most expensive parts of the phone. The cheapist thing is to buy a new phone.

well wrong.... depending on the amount of damage done some places can place the phone in a chemical bath (type of container which contains a special oil) an then a small current is passed through the circuit boards an this gets rid of any corrosion that is on the board....
these baths have a sucess rate of about 80% an i have one an i av used it a few times an they have all been ok for now

sounds like a fantastic technology, but how much does the oil cost? And if it's so effective (and if it's affordable) why do SE service centres automatically right-off water damaged phones (even expensive ones)?
Still, tricky technology. I'd love to have such a thing on hand.

SE Service Manuals always stipulate any sign of water damage means an automatic write off of the phone. There is no repair procedure for water damaged phones, under warranty or otherwise.
Third party repairers may use the oil baths, but SE service centres obviously aren't prepared to warranty repairwork using the baths (otherwise they would use the baths themselves). Certainly if you could get a circuitboard put through one of these baths for $50 or so then it would be worth trying on a P910 or K750 but smaller phones it would still be uneconomical.

if the buttons aint responding this normally means that there is water ingress in the buttosn, and you can fix this yourself, you just need to disemble the keypad, (very easy to do)
I find the best way of removing water damage is using a glass fibre brush
