> My P910i has broken on Christmas -

I have no idea how or why this has happend, when I took it off the cradel earlier today it was showing 50% battery, didnt really thing much of it but I went to put it on charge and it wont charge at all, first I thought it was the dock, but when I tried it just through the charger it didnt work either, so I cleaned the contacts etc tried a differnt socked but nothing works. Im not sure what to do, no one I know has a p910i so I can't borrow a battery, and I don't have a spare charger, I only have the new style ones, what should I do about this as I am gutted and lost, please help asap...

Fisrtly what id try is to just let the phone completly run out of charge until the battery is dead...Maybe the phone just needs to reset itself kinda...
Then put your phone back on charge as usual and see what happens

Hi man, thats not a bad idea, but I think ive diagnosed it, I have just poped it open and cleaned all the internals, but no luck, so I rumaged deep into my cupboards and found the old style car charger, then went to the car and started it up, plugged the car charger in to the car and phone and it began to charge, I suppose it must be the charger which is a bit odd.
so does anyone have a spare oem p910i charger?

just a thought, I have had the same problem, do you have another sony ericsson phone or software on your pc? I discovered that if you have say a k750i sync software it won't allow you to use the p910i stuff...
I hope you get your phone fixed

No I don't have any other SE phones only my P910i
ive tried updating 3/4 mths ago and tonight ive tried again still no joy I don't know why I can't connect to my Syncstation at all.. it's all confusing and im getting partically annoyed now

Well miss uk. The P series has it's fair share of connecting problems. Sometimes my P900 does not connect either. But I do not rely on the syncing. I hope all that gets better with the P990.

Ive quite typed this up in my email to them earlier, im not impressed!
either they get this fixed, give me a free update or im gunna slag emm off lol (Leave them *JOKE*)
it's not fair these phones are ment to be updated via online, but yet they don't work half the time, or in my Never!
Siemens are much better you can update really easily with there phones but SE it's awkward!
it would be good to download the firmware, then BT it to the phone or sumat im sure this will work????
BTW yeah ive recieved alot of things for xmas mainley of my mate and his family, ive still got some more to open when I head home tomorrow
I may wait for my mum to get home this week tho so I can have a belated xmas with her
