heyy... on december 23rd... my girlfriends cousins (15 and 17) were coming home frmo a skatepark, driving pretty fast around what is known as "dead mans curve" in ormond beach florida. They were going abotu 100 MPH, they hit a big tree - and killed one of them and the otherone is in a deep acoma, and they dont think he will make it.
Also - I will be goign out there soon, and wil be taking pictures of the tree that they hit if it is still standing.

I know its sad... I just wanted to let everyone know...

Hope everythign was good for everyone though. This aside, everythign else was pretty good.

EDIT: News story from one local TV station. (http://cfnews13.com/StoryHeadline.aspx?id=12168)
Two teens are dead and one is clinging to life after an early morning crash in Volusia County.

Ormond Beach Police say 18-year-old Adam Hyland was driving with 17-year-old Christopher Hubler and 15-year-old Alex Hubler when Hyland lost control of the vehicle on John Anderson Drive.

The car slid off the west shoulder of the road and struck a large oak tree, ejecting all three teens.

Hyland was pronounced dead at the scene.

The brothers were transported to Halifax Hospital where Christopher was pronounced dead and Alex is currently on life support.

Ormond Beach Police believe speed may have been a factor in the crash.

EDIT 2: another article http://www.orlandosentinel.com/orl-crash2505dec25,0,5526373.story

An Ormond Beach teenager remained in critical condition Saturday after an early-morning car crash that killed his older brother and another boy, authorities said.

The accident happened at 12:30 a.m. in the 600 block of John Anderson Drive, near the Halifax River, Ormond Beach police said. Adam W. Hylan, 18, was driving Christopher J. Hubler, 17, and Alex Hubler, 15.

Hylan was a half-mile from the Hublers' home when he failed to negotiate a curve and lost control of the 1994 Pontiac. It slid off the west shoulder of the road and hit a large oak tree.

All three boys were thrown from the car, Sgt. Kenny Hayes said.

Hylan, of 5 Beechwood Drive, Ormond Beach, was pronounced dead at the scene. The brothers were taken to Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, where Christopher Hubler was pronounced dead shortly after.

Alex Hubler was on life support and remained in the pediatric intensive care unit on Christmas Eve.

Excessive speed was thought to have been a factor in the crash. None of the boys was wearing a seat belt, Hayes said.

Neighbors awoke at 1 a.m. to the sounds of a circling helicopter and about 10 police cars, said Kathryn Conte, who lives down the street from where the crash occurred. She got worried because her daughter wasn't home yet.

The crash, which badly damaged the tree, left the car barely recognizable, another neighbor said.

Investigators are looking for witnesses to the crash. Anyone with information can call Traffic Homicide Investigator Daaron Rudloff at 386-677-0731.

@Eastcoaststar

I'm sorry to hear that, about your Gf's cousin. I'll keep them in my prayers. I didn't hear about this. I mentioned it to my wife and she said she had heard it in the news. Very sad.

my thoughts and prayers go towards your girlfriends cousins. poor guys. They should have all been wearing seat belts and speeding kills. Irresponsible of the 18 year old.

sorry to hear this, hope their family and friends are ok
