I've seen in other threads that one of the main points of the In-Car profile is that it keeps the screen from fading out. However on my W800i (which has the latest 08 firmware) the screen just fades out like normal after a few seconds. Putting it in my HCH-61 holder makes no difference either.
Any ideas please?

You have to have the phone connected the HCA-60 Car kit for it to go into in-car mode.

Dammit- I wondered if that was the reason... thanks for explaining. Shame really- why shouldn't we be able to have the screen stay on if we want to? If it's in the cradle and being charged at the same time I can't see why not...
