Hi

Need some help from you computer buffs out there! Recently when i use my computer, my RAM runs out VERY quickly. I only need to run 3 or 4 programs at the same time before my computer gives the low virtual ram message, freezes, crashes and reboots. Its quite a nuisanc as i cant do much and i have to foverver keep an eye on my task manager to make sure the RAM availabl doesnt drop too low!
I have 512mb of actual Ram on my PC. and i could run far far more progams simultaneously before.

I have dont some googling and come across "speedupmypc" and programs like that, that claim to re-allocate your ram usage and get rid off and unnesccesaary allocation. Is there a way in which i could do this sort of thing for free?

Your help will be much appreciated
Thanks

im pretty sure my computer is ad-aware free...

i mean i have got:

Ad-adware pro
Spyware guard
spy bot search and destroy
and spyware blaster!!!

I'll run all of them, and see if theres any change

Did you modify your page-file settings?
Increasing the amount of virtual memory allocated to windows would be the first thing to do.......

Also in task manager keep an eye out for unfamiliar programs using considerable amount of ram.
You may have installed some programs recently which may be running every time you boot your pc so make sure you disable all unnecessary programs.
There are many free utilities available for ram defragmentation etc so if nothing else works then try those.

might not just be ad ware doing it,

try running a session of your uninstaller 2006 and regisrty mechanic and see where that gets you.

EDIT:
LOL ok "Your unistaller 2006" didnt do squat
But Reg Mechanic found 200+ problems lol... all fixed now so i'll see if it sorted out the RAM problem!!
