my gf is interested in this phone but not too sure bout it and worried that they've stopped production on it.
does anyone hav personal experience of this phone and is it still in production?

My brother owns one and is very pleased with it. I used it for one week myself and was impressed, too.
It is sold here in Switzerland and is promoted heavily right now, so I don't think production is stopped. Where did you hear that from?

I was in NYC last week visiting my sister and I saw that cingular is now carrying it. I got mine thru ebay though.
I took some pics of it with the included (as an accesory) orange housing. It came with the 'sandy grey' on it, but I like the orange one better. It kinda makes it look like one of the new walkmanphones generation.
1. External Display.
2. Clamshell Open.
3. Light Effects.
4. Main Display/Keypad.

z500 have stopped and z520 is it replacement even it is lack of EDGE
it is a great phone for traveller from USA to europe/asia and vice versa since it is the only quad band phone from SE tht sell world wide (w600 only for USA)
and it is the cheapest quadband phone around...i am using one and totally don't mind it lack of the memory when compare to K700 (which is now at same price range) coz it have better style.

I love this phone! I bounce back between the Z520 and W600 (another great phone!). I have the chalky white one...not a lot of white phones out there.

Well, I'm not so sure if the W600 is only for the USA. One of our GSM providers (Digitel TIM) has it announced for january release.

They came as a standard accesory in the "sandy gray" set. I don't know if the blue one that cingular offers includes an extra set as well.......

its a great fone! i`ve use it for texting. its keypad is superb! big keys, fast respond, soft keys, best one arround!
but unfortunately its lack of themes support, even in esato u cannot find z520 themes (i've requested. but no respond)
but overall its a gud fone u never regret it!

Mine is the white Z520i, and comes with a white a baby blue faceplate. Oh well, aftermarket OEM.
