I cant hear a sound from my right headphone until i hold the connector in a particular way. When i leave it the sound dies in the right speaker. Can this be corrected?

clean the connector on the phone with isopropyl alcohol. Also try jiggling the connector while it is plugged in. I find that eventually I can get the connector to "connect" properly and permanently but it takes a bit of jiggliong sometimes. I usually find in such a case cleaning helps.
Don't use anything sharp - use a cotton bud or suchlike.

That might caused by a faulty wiring/connection. It's time to buy a new one.

no I'm afraid this is a design fault with the fastport connector (the previous SE connector has the same issue on the K700)
Cleaning seems to be the best solution in my experience.

Which connector do you mean? The one on the headphones or the one on the phone? Also can i use nail polish remover as a substitute for isopropyl alcohol?

the connector on the phone.
Please DON'T use nail polish remover!! It will damage the fascia and cause even more connection problems. Isopropyl alcohol doesn't melt plastic, and evaporates without leaving a residue. If you can't get any of that, just use the cotton bud on it's own and give the contacts a good hard rub. Don't use anything that will scratch the contacts.
happy cleaning

Now my right earpiece is completely dead. Hours of jiggling and rubbing with cotton doesnt work. It works with my T100 but not k700.
Should i take it to an SE service centre or you have any more suggestions?
Thanks
