Right,

Tried to flash my vodafone branded W900i using Davinci. I've left a couple of support e-mails with them, but nothing back yet.

I'm using W900_R5AF001_MAIN_EU_EMEA.DVT as main,
W900_R5AF001_FS_EU4.DVT as FS and have tried various CDAs, but it keeps coming up with an error when writing the CDA.

Which one should I pick please? Phone just flashes white when turned on now

Any help MUCH appreciated.

cheers

Mark

Fixed. Looks like a bug in the latest version of Davinci client. Am waiting for confirmation. If you're having the same problem, use the previous version (153)

cheers

Read your post earlier but didn't have any suggestions. Glad you've fixed it

So is your phone now unbranded and can you now use SEUS to update if you like ?

It's just got standard firmware. I still can't use my orange sim, as it's still locked to Vodafone

I'm not that chuffed with it anyway to be honest. Might sell it and get something else.

I'm supprised, the phone seems to be getting rave reviews ! great camera, video, mp3 and so on. Give it a chance, you may grow to like it

Failing that, I'm sure someone here will buy it from you, should you decide to put it up for sale

I'll take £300 for it, which is what I paid. I've only had it one day!

It's sim locked to vodafone, but as stated, firmware has been updated so none of the horrible limitations imposed by vodafone. (including limiting the games to 1 minute of playtime before you have to buy them!!)

I bought it primarily for the video capture, but the bitrate isn't as high as I was expecting. Still head and shoulders above the K750i/W800i though.

EDIT: woops, accidentally left a blank post!

I wasnt too impressed with the w900 myself, i thought it was way too bulky. The camera is ok, the light on the k750/w800 is much brighter though. the in-line remote control on the headphones is a good idea...i need one of those for my w800!!

My advice would be to take some pictures making sure you have a piece of paper with your esato name and dated in the pictures. Thats pretty much what the guys ask for here, then put in the 'for sale' section here and good luck mate
