I have a P4 2.4GHZ machine, Geforce FX 5200 AGP card and 550 watts power supply. I want to upgrade to either a Geforce 6600 or a 6600GT or a 6800. No ATI please. Which one best suit my system? I mean making the most of the video card with my current cpu

Nowadays the graphics card seems to take control of all the games requirements, relying on the cpu for a certain small percentage of game data, therefore I would go for the 6600GT it quite a bit faster than the standard 6600, and though not quite as fast as a 6800 it is a lot cheaper and the 6600/6600GT is made using 90nm process (better for efficiency+runs cooler)

Hey i suggest you 6800gs,i think it will be a good choice for you. And btw,none of nvidia 6series gpu's are made of 90nm process as i understand (except for some northbridges and mobile part). I think they are mostly made of 11nm process.
