you could try creating the folder structure that D2P uses on your phones memory stick and see if it's worth getting D2P (it isn't

).
MS Duo:\music\Artist's Name\Album Title\then some mp3's
MS Duo:\MP3\then some mp3's
better to use CDex and WinLAME.

The older version of Disc2Phone (version 1.1.0.44) copied to the \mp3 folder. The latest version copies to the \music folder. I wonder why SE changed the folder name? Trying to encourage people who want to play music on their phones to choose the W800 over the K750? Here in Muscat it is very easy to find W800's in the shops while the K750 (especially the black model) is almost always sold out.

If this is the case with the new d2p copying to the 'music' folder, then music stored on the duo can be hot-swappable between your phone and a PSP, this wasnt possible before as the PSP needs to have the files stored in the 'MUSIC' folder. I think some people have complained about this issue before. That must be the reason why.

they changed it to 'music' because the latest version of disc2phone supports aac/mp4 as well. aac files are not mp3's, hence the change in name.

well that's good news (that disc2phone supports aac now).
I'm off to give it another lash and see what the quality and compression is like with the new version of disc2phone. Still don't think it will be better than itunes or dbpoweramp, but let's find out....
Oh yeah, my K750 media player can find music if it is in \mp3, I wonder if it will find music in \music? Hmmm...

I use Ace Mega Codecs, and it comes with this mp3 ripping thing which plugs into Windows Media Player and lets you rip to mp3 instead of wma. Its really useful, and very fast and easy to use.
Once your mp3's have been ripped, simply drag and drop them onto the duo.
I dont think its worth using Disc2Phone, especially if all its doing is making a hash of something which you do properly yourself even without Disc2Phone.
Its a great idea, but needs to be improved. Also, if you like iTunes, try this link: -
http://www.clubsonyericsson.c[....]ng-sony-ericssons-with-itunes/
It explains how to use iTunes with SE phones.
