What is the difference between T68i/ie? Have seen it in the product finder at SE, but haven't found any info about it.

Hi,
Can someone please explain to me?
I'm a bit confused i have a t68ie (chinese characters)
My current firmware is R2E006,
I want to upgrade to the newest firmware but they only have t68i's not T68ie's.
Will it work and just erase the chinese characters and what ever else it doesn't have or are they completely different and not compatible?
Also can firmware increase signal strength or keep it from fluciating as much? or is that just a hardware thing?
Thanks

if u wanna upgrade and keep the chinese stuff, u gotta upgrade with a t68ie version of it, otherwise it'll erase it. reception may be a bit better. i converted my t68i to a t68ie with r6 firmware.
