Anybody done any video encoding for this device, any suggested settings, I have already been advised to use TCPMP PLayer (cheers Masseur). Also, is there a way of actually closing an app when finnished instead of having to go to task manager.

@mad_bob: I think the best encoder is xillisoft mp4 encoder, it does everything from xvid t0 mp3's. Also, try Pocket Plus by spb, it does the close button so that the apps can close or minimise as you like it.

yeah I use
SPB pocket plus and its a great product
however there is no real need to close apps like you do in windows. its all handled automatically on windows mobile, but I guess it makes us feel better in someway to know its been shutdown

Cheers people, I will check out that Pocket Plus.
Has anybody got any settings though that have given smooth playback in full screen, resoluion/screensize etc. I don't mind playing around and finding out for myself, its just that because I have heard about problems with playback due to lack of processing power, I just wondered if anybody had settings that worked well.

I think 128kbps is fine for the audio, and 600kbps with 320x240 video should suffice.

@debu, that is more or less the settings I use. CD quality audio (anything less is not good) and 600-800kbits for video.
Most of my music videos then come out at around 15-20mb each
