This reminds me of a literature paper back in high school!
Well believe it or not, my favourite has to be a tie between Lando and vader.
Lando cause....well...he's rich and smart and has a sense of humour (of sorts
)
vader cause, he's the most powerful, more then palpatine (my point of view)
I also liked leia in jabba palace in ROTJ.
Another one of my favorite characters is Thrawn (He's a grand admiral from one of Timothy Zahn's novel's I belive it is 'Heir to the empire')

probably cos mainly the last ones was shown, not the other side. lucas created not just a new world, a whole new galaxy imo. it was amazing, how he lead all of us "to a bad conclusion". i mean, i usually thought, this story is about traditional story of the good and the bad, jedis and power etc but not. its a story of one single person, anakin.

He does kill the emperor before he dies, even if he goes from good to bad to good again

just imagine, what a life he had. pain and joy, suffer and happiness. but its in the true life aswell. if i watch the movies and read between the lines in the book, u can learn very much of it...
next to it i do like lucas aswell. he is a damn rich man, but even so shy. he is just like u and me. he lives at the skywalker ranch, always busy to develope and create new things.
