folks,
I was loving my baby since i bought it. but lately my touch screen clicks automatically on only one place, which is at the left bottom corner and I get message saying "GPRS detached". I can't click anywhere else on screen, unless I click 3 to 5 times where I want to click.
Its very strange behaviour. I did master reset but no joy. does anyone suggest anything...? the phone is not in warranry period. its out by two months. do you think if I send it to sony ericsson saying its under warrenty and I can't find the receipt, and they would do it free of charge...?
I dont know what to do guys. this happens everytime I open my flip. and very frequently when flip is closed.
Any help would be much appreciated guys.
Cheers

If I replace touch screen by myself it will cost me £30. do you think that this is definitely touch screen problem and not software problem...?
should I try updating software onthe phone first or shall I just get new touch screen...? or if I can repair touch screen...?
Cheers

If you were to get another replacement screen, the cost would be as followed (Estimate only)
D.I.Y
Screen cost = £60-£80 (Depends where you buy)
But you need to fix it yourself, its easy if you know how but can be difficult if you do not know how. Opening guildes can be found.

Shop repair
My friend recently paid £140 at 'Time to Talk' to get it fixed. Thats almost £70 for labour!
Bare in mind, eBay sells almost new SE P910's for about £170!

Before you try replacing anything, it might be worth doing a recalibration of the screen. You never know....

during recalibration processs. do you have to tap on screen on four corners...? eg. first(left top), second (bottom left), third(bottom right) and fourth(top right)..?
my one only ask me to tap on point 1, 2 and 3 only. I'm wondering whether there are four places to tap on to the screen during calibration screen process.
