Installed PC suite, installed drivers for USB/Modem etc... installed update service, started fine, got to the menu telling me to turn off phone, hold down c and plug in cabel.. tried and tried and all that happend is the phone turns on and the update service keeps telling me i need to hold c etc etc.

Anyone else having this problem?

Try an alternative USB port and preferably a USB 2.0 port from a powered hub...again preferably one that's on the back side of the motherboard, directly connected onto the motherboard.
