> W900i - Very High Quality music video download

Hi, i noticed everyone with the w900i seems to get different video playback quality, some people get stutters, some don't, it doesn't make much sense. Leading me to recently learn about making very streamlined efficient mp4 videos. So, i've encoded a test mp4, it's just a 4 minute music video, only 12MB.
If everyone with a w900i (especially those who get stuttering video and sound loss from mp4 videos they put on their phone), could download this and check if it plays all the way through on their w900i without any problems? Cheers!
It's a nice enough song, In The Waiting Line, by Zero 7. The video is the important part, they use a CGI video for the song, and mpeg compression always has a hard time with CGI, mpeg is designed for live action, like real people. So this should push the w900i mpeg4 decoder a bit more. Bitrate is 415Kbps combined, near the theoretical limit for the phone.
anyway if people could test it out, i'm hoping it plays fine on everyones w900i. Thanks.
Oh and if it is fine for everyone, expect a LOT more high bitrate music videos to appear for this phone very soon.

well done, tasted on k750, playback only with sound, no video. Maybe will getting W900i soon, so will try on an appropriate phone.

guys i use pv author...
and just adjusted the k750i setting to 29.97 FPS and 320X240 and everything seems to work fine...
if anyone wants the pv author profile let me know

It works just fine on my w900i. Although its not truly fullscreen cuz of the top and bottom black borders, but the video and audio quality is wickedd

it plays quite well, never had any stuttering problems but i do still have audio syncing probs. Can't really tell if the audio and video is in sync although theres nothing to indicate it's not (very smooth video and audio is great), can you post a music vid with someone singing so i can test? also can you post the settings/progs you've used to encode the vid?

Anyhow, expect a comprehensive encoding guide to be posted tomorrow. It'll cover simple methods using nero recode / imTOO encoder / Mpegable x4, as well as a more complex but much better quality encoding method i used for that test video.

Anyway, I focused on 3GP files, using the 3GP converter (XVID+AAC) and short music video (like yours) looked great.
But encoding the shortest movie I have (1:26:00) with settings 190 kbps, 25 fps, 320x178 size, 2 channel AAC (32bit, 16kHz) produced a beatiful video for first 20-25 minutes, then the stuttering began and the audio track went off-sync. Maybe splitting the movie in few parts may help, I have yet to try that solution.
Anyway, I'm glad there's someone experimenting with the encoding as well

the site contains detailed info on the w900i video capabilities, as well as simple video conversion guides for nero recode, mpegable x4, and imTOO encoder. I recommend using the high quality guide method though, as it allows video bitrate up to 400kbps paired with 96kbit HE-AAC audio!
now i really need a drink!
