I dont know if anyone can help me but the operating system on my p900 has broken and the phone no longer allows me to get far enough into the phone to allow me to do a master reset because it resets itself.
Unfortunately without a warranty there is not much I can do about repairing it so can anyone help me here in a way to master reset the phone the phone being on?

Sounds like a firmware problem. Try updating the phone online using the Sony Ericsson Update Service and your SyncStation if you still have it. If that doesn't work, you may have to get the phone sent away to have it's software/firmware reflashed. I'm not sure of the cost, but I imagine it will be about £20 (or equivalent wherever you come from).

Ah, its OK because ive got it fixed.
Fortunately it was free because it was (surprisingly) in warranty.

Go to the service menu (jogdials and stars) to do a hard reset.
