where can i get free themes for w550i? can i use themes made for k750i and w800 on my w550i?

Yes you can use any K750i/W800i theme on your w550i and vice versa. You can get free themes here on esato, but if you're looking for more of a selection, try zedge

The w550i themes are different than the k750i ones.

You cannot directly use a k750i theme on your w550i. The theme has to be converted to a newer file version and the input and input small screens have to be changed.
