It's almost impossible to even get the updater to start, all those five steps just loops, and nothing happens, I did get it to go to step 6 (release C) and finally install the damn thing, twice, but it just fails, and says something about a script error. What should I do? I've tried reinstalling it and also Java...

Look at THIS thread.

The problem has already been encountered by others.

I saw a guy in that thread that had to clean up the memory first, but I can't do that, it doesn't even start.. I have tried it on a different PC too. I have updated flash player for both IE and Firefox. "400mill" in that thread also had the exact same problem as me, though I've got it to work atleast twice... I'm getting really tired of this...... thnx

ok, I did a master reset that totally f**ked up the entire phone, the menus are all screwed up, and the only way I can navigate through them is through 0-9... And master reset is #12 in the settings list.. After the reset I manages to get it updated, though I can't use it.. This is getting really annoying.

Yeah. Did the script error occur on the very last bar during the updating process? If so, I got that error as well.

My software info states I've got R1AA008 but it also says R1N035 under 'customization'. So I've basically got a semi-updated phone. I noticed all the features there and everything seems to be in order.. but im still trying to get it properly updated 100%.

yeah, that was why I master resetted the phone, cause I've read here on esato that that should solve that script error... But in my case, it did, but the master reset also corrupted it
