okay, so i guess every time i have criticizm about a movie, ill make a thread about it... unless the mods get mad.
ANYWAY... i saw the movie Wolf Creek tonight. It was... different. but honestly IMO, it wasnt great. What makes the moie decent, is it is based on a true story. has anyone seen it? what do you think?
I think they could hae done alot better... i heard alot about how good this movie was supposed to be... i was definetley let down.
also... @masseur... and all others who lie in/frequently isit australia... have any of you heard of the story about cry wolf? is it something real that people actually talk about around there etc??
has anyone seen this spot where the movie takes place????

I watched this movielast night, and thought it was ok. It did take a long time for the film to get moving but, the wait was worth it.
It was supposed to be based on the backpacker murders, and the Peter Falconio disappearance.

I sore it a while back. Wasn’t to impressed by it. Seems it’s very, very loosely based on true events. A lot of it is simple speculation.
If the girls body’s were never found and the guy never confessed to the murders we don’t really know that they were chased around and killed or how they were killed.
On another note i did read somewhere that their are loads of backpackers that go missing in the bush all the time!

Yeah, it stated that at the start of the film in small writing. Very big place the bush, bet you could go un-noticed out there if you got lost.

Big place indeed. Was watching Ray Mears’s (bush craft) and he was in the oz outback with the aborigines. He said when you get lost in Europe its usually for a couple of days, when you get lost in US maybe a couple of weeks, when you get lost in oz a couple of months (if you can survive that long, the average Brit is expected to last 7 days in the outback before he’s dingo meat)

the only way you get lost in australia is if you think your hot s**t who doesnt need a guide or anything and think you can go out there by yourself....usually rich europeans are the main culprits
