Hi!
I have a Tungsten T3 and have been reading and thnking hard about what to do... I can go down the road, no pun intended, of buying these
1. GPSlim 236 + TOM TOM software... + mount, charger, etc...and pair them with my Tungsten T3,
or I can buy
2. Navman iCN 635 - £199.97 ( Local Dixons has 2 in stock. )
I know the iCN 635 does not have an internal battery, but for £199.97 is seems to be a good bargain.
I do think I will go walk-abouts sometimes in London, Paris, York and other cities, so the iCN will not work for that.
But I can use a London A-Z and get a York and Paris PAPER map easily.
I also know when my T3 packs up, I can buy a LifeDrive or similar PDA and use the same maps, GPS receiver etc...
Of course, I could wait for a S-E 990i !
What would you advise? I would appreciate any advice...

I say get a universal GPS reciever that can be used with PDAs and smartphones. TomTom IMO.

coxy!
thanks, but why do you say ?
Adding up the sum of the parts that I need to make my T3 A gps device, adds up to much the same price, even more, if I buy a very good holder for the PDA.
Is it because I could use it for my PDA and also a P990i if I went 'down that road' hahahaha! so to speak...

Yeah it means that whatever you buy would be able to be used with it. But then again a stand-alone GPS system like a TomTom will never be beaten.

I've gotten a stand alone BT GPS unit that i can use on my P910i, 6680, M500, W800i.
obviusly you "have" to buy TomTom etc for each phone, but it means i have gps on pretty much whatever phone i want.
thats the way forward!
