may nag sabi sakin nabili n daw ng globe sun and smart un rights to 3g network....... is this true??? ^_^

they were all granted 3G licences by the NTC already so you should start seeing 3G networks start to spring up later this year. launches should initially be in metro manila and metro cebu areas.

naku kelan kaya nila ilalabas yang service na yan.. automatic kaya nila i-offer with existing plans? sayang naan tong phone ko hindi 3g capable.

according to smart, 3G will launch this year. your can retain your existing plan. you just have to replace your SIM with a 3G SIM.
i'm guessing that data rates should still be the same as GPRS, especially with this price-sensitive market. i just wonder what the video call rates will be like...
