Apple introduces MacBook Pro, replaces PowerBook
Apple today unveiled its new MacBook Pro notebook computer featuring the new Intel Core Duo processor, which the company claims delivers up to four times the performance of the PowerBook G4. The new 15.4-inch widescreen MacBook Pro features a one inch thick aluminum enclosure, weighs 5.6 pounds, includes a built-in iSight video camera, the Apple Remote and Front Row software, and Apple's new patent-pending MagSafe magnetic power connector, designed especially for mobile users. Pricing is £1429 for the 1.67 GHz model, and £1799 for the 1.83 GHz version. MacBook Pro will be available in February, and is available for pre-order now.
Apple unveils new iMac with Intel Core Duo Processor

Apple today unveiled its new Intel-based iMac featuring Mac OS X running on the new Intel Core Duo processor, delivering performance that is up to twice that of its predecessor, Apple says. "The widely praised iMac design now features dual- core processors, a built-in iSight video camera for video conferencing out-of-the-box, and the breakthrough media experience of Front Row with the Apple Remote for a simple, intuitive and powerful way for consumers to enjoy their content from across the room." Pricing starts at at £929, and every new iMac comes with iLife '06. The new iMac is shipping today, and is the first of a new generation of Macs featuring Intel processors that Apple will roll out during 2006.
Apple announces iWork '06
Apple today announced iWork '06, a new version of the company's suite of productivity software with new features designed to make it easy for users to create compelling documents and presentations. iWork '06 includes major enhancements within Pages 2 and Keynote 3 including new three- dimensional charts, iPhoto-like advanced image editing and masking tools, and spreadsheet-like tables that make it easy to get great results in minutes. Work '06 is now available for a suggested retail price of US$79. A 30-day iWork '06 trial will be available on new hardware and with copies of Mac OS X and iLife '06 sold at retail.

Apple today announced iLife '06, which the company says is the most significant upgrade to its award- winning suite of digital lifestyle applications ever. "iLife '06 features
iPhoto 6 with blazing performance, new printed books, calendars and cards, and Apple's innovative new Photocasting for sharing photos over the Internet;
iMovie HD 6 with new motion themes for adding spectacular production value to your movies;
iDVD 6 for authoring custom DVDs for today's widescreen TVs; and
GarageBand 3, now the complete solution for creating professional-quality Podcasts. iLife '06 also introduces
iWeb, a new iLife application that makes it super-easy to create amazing websites with photos, blogs and Podcasts and publish them on .Mac for viewing by anyone on the Internet with just a single click." iLife '06 is now available for a suggested retail price of US$79, and will be included with all new Macs. iTunes 6.0.2 is currently available as a free download from Apple's Web site.
Apple announces the iPod Radio Remote, more
Apple today announced the iPod Radio Remote, which combines the convenience of a wired remote control with new FM radio capabilities for the iPod nano and fifth generation iPod. "The iPod Radio Remote is a convenient way for music lovers to skip tracks and adjust the volume of their iPod even when it's in a pocket or backpack, and listen to FM radio stations while displaying station and song information on their iPod screen." The iPod Radio Remote includes a pair of Apple headphones with a shorter cable, complementing the iPod Radio Remote, and will begin shipping immediately for US$49.
Apple releases QuickTime 7.0.4
Apple today released QuickTime 7.0.4 via its Software Update utility. The company says: "QuickTime 7.0.4 is an important release that delivers numerous bug fixes, support for iLife '06, and H.264 performance improvements. This update is highly recommended for all QuickTime 7 users.

yeah thanks jools sorry got abit over excited there for a second but its all good been waiting for that remote for ages.
and the macbook pro looks fantastic expecially with the built in isight, here hoping i win the lottery soon.
