I have had my W800i for a few months now and I am mightily impressed. I had the MS Duo card bug issue under the old firmware, and since I have upgraded to the new firmware everything has been ok, except for a few minor hickups.

Firstly, I used to have many songs on my W800i, then I needed a change so I took all my songs off my memory card, and then added a whole new batch of songs via the Disc2Phone software, including some of the ones I originally took off! Everything went fine, until I started listen to the songs. For some reason some of the songs I used to have on my phone which played perfectly would no longer play (I got the "Playback Failed" message), the funny thing is these songs used to play on my phone and they are all the same type of music genre (some songs off Clubland 7, Clubland 8 and Big Tunes 2). Every other song on my phone I put on played fine. So, I dont know why this is happening, but it is really frustrating.

Another issue I have had is that certain songs have the first 15 seconds or so of the song missed off when I play them back on the phone (again they are all off the same album, but it happens with several completely unrelated albums).

The last issue I have is that, over the last few days my phone seems to "freeze" briefly for 5 or 10 seconds on the Walkman menu, it never used to do this and I see no reason for it to start now.

I love this phone and SE, but I would love to get completely happy use out of it. Would anyone be kind enough to offer me some suggestions or advice regarding the problems I am having?

Kind regards,
Martyn

I am not so sure what wrong but in general the f/w is still not stable.

I suggest that if you were using playlists, you must recreate them too.

Otherwise I really don't know whats the matter.

Mine did something strange todat too. Song was playing halfway, I got the error message "Failed" then the W application was closed.

I restarted and in played successfully after that.

Maybe the memory/cache management is not working correctly.

To each their own

@bongzino:

I'm not using playlists. Do you think if I reflash my phone with the firmware it would make a difference?

I tried that, the same thing still happens though.

Sucks , I was considering buying a 1GB Sandisk Memory Stick Duo, but I need to sort these problems first so I know it is worth the investment.

I have put the same songs on the internal memory of the phone and I am still having the same problems. So I dont think the memory card I have is faulty.
