> Help! my k750 died!

I dropped my k750 about four months ago and I damaged the front faceplate, right where the keyboard section and the screen section meet. today I was fed up with the peice that jutted out so I removed the faceplate to try and fix it. When I replaced the faceplate and switched on the phone I got a white screen followed by a the screen going dead. the only way I could get anything else to happen was to remove the battery and put it back in, then I'd swith it on and I get the same thing. Any help with this would be greatly apreciated.

center I know that is NOT covered by warranty anymore 'cause what have happened. I think this will be your LAST recourse . . . and the damage will SURELY cost you some money here . . . Good Luck !

@JN thanks but, I've heard some horror stories about the US service centers... might be better off getting another phone if no one has any suggestions.

@obsixxx - Try to WEIGH things first pal. Have the damaged unit checked and assess for the cost of the damage, there you can already decide if it's WORTH the repair . . . or YES, just better get a NEW one. Good Luck.

Your problem could be from a number of reasons. Proper diagnosis is what is required. A hit and miss approached could cause a bigger problem, instead of fixing your phone.
Get your phone to an
service center. It just might be a simple problem with a simple solution.

Ok I don't know why or how this worked, but in a last ditch effort I just tried to update the firmware and it totally worked! My phone is 100% operational. Does anyone know why this worked, or if it even makes sense? Btw I had the latest firmware on my phone prior to this.
@JN thanks for the posts, it was comforting to know someone was there with me threw my rough time.
