if you mean themes then you could take a look at Pocket PC Themes

I'm still finding it hard to find good quality windows mobile 5 themes though

don't see why not. you're MDA vario is just a variant of my i-mate K-Jam and they are both windows mobile devices

I've used a few from there myself

most windows mobile themes should work fine as long as it's qvga resolution
you could always make your own too
