i've a 5 month old k700i until recently i've been usiing it great. it started when the audio went dead. i had a friend send it to the SonyEricsson Concept Shop to have a look. she told me that they told her that the software was corrupted and unsupported and there's nothing that they could do. even an ungrade will be futile. i then went to SemiCon for a 2nd opinion and that's exactly what they also said. i had my unit bought for me in Germany. it really costs alot of money, especially compared to our greatly devalued peso (im residing in the Philippines) and i feel that i haven't gotten my full money's worth. besides, it's such a shame to waste a great piece of electronica, especially that it's only 5 months old (it's practically brand new!

)anybody out there know a solution to my predicament? i've already e-mailed SE about this and am currently awaiting their reply but i'm not taking any chances so i'm going out to all Esato members and asking for their help.
please! have mercy and lend out a helping hand for a fellow brand loyalist of 5 years!

warranty is country specific. If you want that phone replaced under warranty, you should bring/send it back to where you got it.

you know waht cellphone technicians can do here in the philippines. What Semicon or other legit cell companies would give up on repairing, those on greenhills will gladly accept. I will suggest you try your luck in there, but it will void any warranties youu have. Sorry mate.

already went to GHills. tumatakbo na nga ulit. yun nga lang forfeited na yung warranty. but i think it's better than junking my unit. i even informed SE about this and all they did was a standard reply : "for futher questions regarding your or any of our product, please do not hesitate to e-mail us." that's it! pretty lame, huh?
