Hi all,
Seems that there might be a problem related to some EMEA_3 owners of k750i handsets who try to update to R1AA008 from previous versions of the firmware. For the record I'm stuck with a half-updated R1N035 -> R1A008. All I need now is just verification that people here have indeed stumbled upon problems performing an online update using SEUS II (latest version doesn't seem to make things better). I am indeed referring to the well known situation whereby the update process is interrupted in the penultimate rectangle of the update returning a "process failed" error message.
Things that are indicative of the update failure include the following under software info:
"ITP SW version
CXC 125 932
R1A038
Customization
cxc125953
R1N035"
Please contribute so I can fwd comments to SE.
Regards.

Sorry, to tell you, I also own an EMEA_3 k750i , but updating with the SEUS II went realy fine. Without any problem. Well, I've done a little preparation before that, including Master Reset, taking out the MS etc. and at the end I've got a fully updated phone and working like a dream. Maybe you should try again ! Well actually, now I'm thinking, I've used the first release of the SEUS II in the middle of December, maybe this has something to do with your problem.

Thanks for the prompt reply,
I have -up to now- used virtually all the versions of the SEUS II that have been published starting from the non beta initial version, then the beta one and a couple of days ago I gave the new x.11.2 a shot without any success. The update is always carried out on the same machine though, under WindowsXP with SP1 installed. I have also updated my flash plugin to version 8 with both the IE and the MSI installers but I still face the same script error message.
The first update, which left a half-a$$'d firmware was attempted with a partially charged battery (apprx. 85-90%ish), subsequent updates with the battery fully charged and all the possible update procedure combinations were also accounted for (ie. MS removed, hard master reset etc). Still no luck. I have yet to to write to SE about this, but it seems that they are on the right track in resolving this issue, since the last version of the update client seems to stall at the update progress were it all fails for much longer than previous versions did.
Perhaps someone else noticed this?
How about a log of the update process that outlines the reason of failure in much more detail ? I did glimpse in the SE Update service folder and the substructure aiming to isolate any such text or log file with little to no success.
Thanx

I read somewhere in Esato that the PC you are trying to update from must have the setting: Language for non-Unicode programs: English
Or the OS itself must be english? (I am not sure of this)

I too am receiving the script error on the last bar during the update process.
My software info is similar to yours, but so far I've not experienced any flaws with the actual phone. Though I assume I'm missing some languages somewhere.
I would like to get a proper update though. I heard SUES 2.2.12.2 is out. But i've been using 2.2.11b.

No, this has nothing to do with the problem. My whole Win XP is in Bulgarian, Language for non-Unicode programs: Bulgarian (and sometimes when I am expirencing any problen I turn to Serbian (cyrilic)) and I've done two times till now successful updades. (from three trys, first time the problem was that I thought that I can use the Java virtual machine, not the original one from SUN ). Maybe I'll try later this evning a new update (I've read im other topic that maybe a 2nd release of the firmware R1AA008 is available and I like to be up-to-date everytime) and if I do it, I'll post a report here.
