I have two phones both on Orange, one a personal one K750i and the other a naff old Nokia which is paid for by work. I'm sick and tired of carrying two around. Is there anyway that I can put two lines on one phone either by SIM card or magic.

The guy in the carphone warehouse suggested I just permanantly divert my work phone to my personal phone. This is a stupid idea as 1) when I call people back I will have to pay for the call and 2) all my clients will learn my own mobile number, which I don't want.

Interesting. How do they work? Do they just slot in at the back or do I have to fiddle around with the fixings at the back?

Can you have both lines going in at once or do you have to choose one phone to have on and the other off.

How do you switch between calls on different lines?

thats something i cant awnser. i do know that they just slide in, you dont have to mess with them (on that one, some you do). but im not too sure about switching between them, and if they can both be on etc.

im curious, most of my phones i have had have a line1 and a line2. i wonder if you can use that. (i have no idea).

i dont know the details about these things.

the twin sim adaptors have a little bit of electronics that detect the phone being turned on and off. To switch the active sim you simply do that, switch off and on again. if you switch off for a while and then switch on it keeps the same sim as last time active

Can you ask work to get your work number put as a line two on your personal phone. I wouldn't do it the other way around though as you can't send texts from a line two (well not on Orange anyway, dont know about the others)

how OLD? the site says it was tested on the p900 and worked. but then again, i guess the p900 is getting old.

i would do what the user above me suggested.

@masseur - I guess you meant . . . "TO" switch and not "TWO" switch

Yeah, there's a downside with this device though . . . You may have 2 SIMS in your fone, but only ONE is active at a given time . . . you just have to activate the 'other' SIM to make calls or sms etc.
