Well friends i purchased unbranded K750i in June 2005 and tried to upgrade my firmware couple of days ago. I installed the software, started upgrading it and then my internet connection just broke up in the middle of green bars moving. i detached the fone from Data cable and tried to turn it on, but no use. The fone is not starting. i removed the battery and tried, put the sim back etc but the phone refused to start. i think the software is totally courrupted thats why the fone is not started.

I tried to upgrade it again many time but it sometimes it fails to detect the fone when i plugin the USB cable while pressing the "c" key and sometime it says that the software is alaready updated and there is no update available.

I am not at home and there is no SE service centre around. for the time being i bought i samsung fone but i am so addicted to SE that i want my 750i running ASAP. I am not be going home for about 2 months, so is there any thing i can do?

My god-that's too bad. I just updated my K750 6 hours ago and luckily I made it without any flaw-thanks GOD-although I used internet cafe of non-broadband type. It took about 1 hour to update..I don't know if this kinda update may cause damage..

@aremaboy

No, updating via a dial-up conection does not cause any problems at all, it's just a bit risky because dial-up conections are notoriously unstable and disconnect regularly, which could cause problems if it disconects at the wrong time. And it's a lot slower of course! The main danger with updating is the computer itself, if it crashes during the upgrade process, you're almost certain to encounter problems with your phone. If you think your computer's a bit dodgy, don't use it to do an upgrade!

As for the original poster's problem, I agree that a repair upgrade should do the trick. If it doesn't work, I think you'll need to take the phone to a mobile phone shop to be sent off for repair

you just need to force a full re-flash, main and and then complete the phone... best guide for this (will cost u a bit of cash for a service cable)

if you read that and feel confident you should be fine (but obv use 750 firmware and not w800....unless u want the w800 firmware lol

Thanks for the valuable suggestions, but the problem is that i am not at home otherwise i would have taken it to SE service centre. Right now i have only the USB cable that came with the phone, computer and internet connection. Can i do anything with the above items ????

Is it possible to update the phone with any previous firmware??

you need to use seus to do a recovery on your pone, failing that you could try davinci.

I am planning to use Devinciteam client to repair the fone. but i have 3 Questions;

1. Whether my fone will be repaired using Devinciteam Client?
2. Whether the warranty will still be valid in case i am unsuccessful?
3. Can i use SEUS after that to update the Firmware?

Thanks in advance

Answers:
1. yes, Davinci will definitely repair your phone
2. Warranty on firmware isnt that obvious if you ask me.. not if you will bring it to a service center.. theyl definitely find that out.
3. Updating via SEUS after a flash from Davinci... well my phone went thru that process, and it was good, SEUS 2 made the update possible knowing that my phone was flashed by Davinci from R1L China to R1N EU2, then an update via SEUS2 from R1N EU2 to R1AA EU1. how did that happened, I possibly dont know. no details yet... but im definitely fine with my firmware right now. no quams..

so if your kinda daredevil thing.. then do it.. if your not ready for the consequences then bring it to the proper authorities...
