> Updating W800 Firmware - MAcromedia Error

Hi All, I hope I someody here can help me (You lot always have done before!!)
My friend just bought a W800i on my recomendation and the phone is playing up. The first thing I said was to go update the firmware - but when he does he get's a pop up box with this error:
"Incompatible Macromedia version. Required verision available from
http://www.macromedia.com. Application will terminate."
Now I've tried making IE or Firefoxx the default browser, checked shockwave and flash are up to date - but no joy.
Has anyone else had this?

what? does w800 use shockwave and flash for updating firmware?? i thought it was java like the others

I have no idea - what I suspect though is that it uses flash or something similar just to put up a flashy logo thing when it completes
