I doubt it has enough bandwith to be of any use.
Besides, for most os us GPRS is quite expensive.

I used skype from my PC through a GPRS connection. It worked, but the quality was much worse... but better then nothing. But the reason why skype wont be released to current symbian phones, is that symbian doesnt allow a (user) program to acces both the microphone and speaker. So you either hear the other, or talk to him.
