My W800i was suffering from the white screen of death. I upgraded the firmware to something like FA1 or FR1 (sorry I don't know what the R number is). Though I live in the UK the phone itself is French.
This solved the problem but now the phone just crashes all the time (it will be on the standby screen but pressing the buttons does nothing).
Should I just send it off to SE to get it fixed?

I think the W800 phone is giving them serious problem.
The bugs are too many a they are trival bugs.
My w800 died on the white screen too. I sent it to them I'm still waiting its been 3 days.

send it back and try and get them to put R1L002 on it. R1L is the last stable firmware that isn't plagued with the file transfer bugs.
