Just wondering if any one has installed a 3.5mm headphone jack in place of the stock 2.5mm jack.
I would find this a lot more usefull for myself. I hate needing to carry around an adapter! and I really never use the handsfree head phones. Only bluetooth if I want.

So I just wanted to get some info on how to do it. I don't mind soldering on a curcuit board. I just don't know if there is even room in there.

Much easier to mod the earphones with some nicerSony ones and you can still use the mic. Unclip the mic bit of the headset (splits in half) unsolder the SE earphones and solder in some new ones. Did it with some Sony headphones, even though theyre crap theyre much better than the SE ones +I can still use it as handsfree

Headphones for the Walkman series of SonyEricssons are a huge improvement. Shame they use a completely different connector to the phone.

I have cut off the headphones on the set that comes with the V800 (same as K/S700i) and soldered on a headphone socket so that I can use my own headphones.
