Ive been offerd the W900i free on my voda upgrade with my existing contract 125mins STC £25 a month (with a new 12mth contrat)

I was going to wait to see other networks offers but now im tempted

what do you guys think? are there better contracts out there and maybe I should wait.

Also the w900i will have all the voda branding, all my handsets so far have been generic as I wouldnt accept anything else as an upgrade but not much choice if I accept this upgrade

As per experience and further reading in this forum, I would strongly advice against getting any phone that has it's firmware altered to include the 'branding' of any service provider. It's the so called branding that mucks-up the quality of any phone.

I think you can get rid of the branding by flashing with generic W900 firmware via the likes of davinci for around £6

Wouldn't that void your warranty?

Well £300 for 125 mins and a W900i isn't at all bad. Thats cheaper than any deal I have seen yet.

Shop around but I don't think you will find the W900 from another provider unless you get one bundled sim-free with a contract, but they tend to be £400+ over the year.

Ive never had a branded phone, but this deal seems tempting.
Hmmm what to do....!!

Anyone have any clues when t-Mobile or orange will be releasing it?
bet they will be branding it aswell

Just because o2 online doesn't have it up as coming soon doesn't mean o2 shops won't have it soon. O2 online told me a month ago they may not even get it at all as it wasn't on their coming soon list.
However handsets do sometimes become available on o2 online without having been displayed as coming soon.
Best bet would be to go in to an o2 shop and ask.
Would be really happy if it is out on non-vodafone networks in a week although am a bit wary of getting the phone until the first firmware update is released.
