A 17 year old american schoolboy has won a legal case against his school for not allowing him to wear a skirt,The dress code bans shorts but allows skirts,he believes he should have a right to wear a skirt over shorts as the policy is discriminatory.

ive talked about wearing skirt many a time at school in summer. But never did as shorts r not allowed at our school

im in 6th form now so can wear shorts

Why the hell not! Girls got the right to wear trousers so why not let boys wear skirts! (although he would look like a right tit and if in london and possible the whole of britain, get beating up for being a queer).

I agree with joe, one of my sisters male friends got suspended from school for wearing makeup, which i think is outrageous especially seeing as it was just a bit of black eyeliner. A boy in my year got suspendeds for having multicoloured hair, and when his father was called, he went apeshit, as he's a hairdresser and it was him that did it. The way i see it, support their education, not their lifestyle. The education establishment isnt there to tell you how to live, its there to teach you skills. How you dress or wear your hair while they are teaching you is none of their business.

EDIT: In Scotland, we manly men wear skirts from time to time but they are called Kilts...But only if your at a wedding these days which is a shame, they are so much easier to go skipping in than trousers
