Being British is about driving in a German car to an Irish pub for A
Belgian beer, then travelling home, grabbing an Indian curry or a
Turkish kebab on the way, to sit on Swedish furniture and watch American shows
on a Japanese TV. And the most British thing of all? Suspicion of anything
foreign!

Being British is also about being English, to a large extent. I certainly don't consider myself to be British, which is a prevailing feeling north of the border.

Scotland was an independant country, but we were sold to England so they had somewhere to graze sheep - Wallace was fighting to regain our freedom Thats thats cutting a very long story short -
These days, it seems that England claim anything Scottish thats good as "British" but when it doesnt suit them its "Scottish" so maybe its a two-way thing. I'm just waiting on Scotsboyuk's retort, as he regards himself as british first and Scottish second. I feel no pride, no emotion, nothing, over the British empire, but when it comes to being a Scot i'm very patriotic.
Even though i'm half English
