Hey people,
Anyone know what a decent easy to use but comprehensive, music editing suite is, that accepts all kinds of files (.wav .mp3 .ram .ogg etc)?
Years ago I used to use a program called Sonic Foundary Acid Music, that was ok but I've lost the CD now.
Also is it possible to use this sort of software to take out the voice of the artist and just leave the beat or am I talking rubbish...?

There is several programs:
Steinberg Wavelab
Cool Edit
Sonic Foundry Acid (i use 4.0)
Magix Audio Cleaning Lab
And some of them even has a "Karaoke-function" that takes the vocal out. But there is always some left, my experience is that no program takes the vocal out - without spoiling the sound of the music. Unfortunately. Would love that. If anyone knows different I myself would like to know which one is good.

I use Audacity myself, although I'm not sure what features it actually offers
Worked well enough for the Anti-Crazy Frog ringtone though
