Hi all,

Anybody got any Nitro car knowledge?
I have a Thunder Tiger SSK with damaged Heat Sink fins.
Will this damage the engine or should it be ok for now
as its bloody freezing in Dover at the moment?

Your help would be appreciated.

how damaged? was it a good crash? most engines will run happily with a few fins a bit bent, mine does, but if it's excessive then it'll overheat. run the engine and see how hot it gets, richening the mixture will also keep the temps lower.

Hi & thanks for your reply.
Here is a pic of the damaged item in question.

If it will survive a little while it will give me chance
to save some pennies for a nice new one if she
does decide to blow.

Yeah, I'm with batesie. It should be alright in this weather providing it's totally exposed but even so, I wouldn't run it for too long.

I used to have quite a few monster rucks all nitro, and my first question is: how the f**k did you do that? run it off the white cliffs?
now for my advice: personally id change the heatsink asap as it can cause damage to the engins, and ive been through like 5 and they aree expensive, a new headsink will cost prob 20 quid iff that, but the engin will cost u 80, idd think it was a easy choice.
