Just want to make sure I'm not missing something somewhere. I use a K750i with firmware R1AA008
I want to change text input style from Multitap to T9 when sending text messages. My understanding is that you press and hold the star (*) key. The T9 icon would then appear in the header and and you can type away. Now when I do this, buggerall happens and I still have to do the multitap thing. If I press and hold the hash (#) key the language option appears within a second, so why does the same not happen with the star key?
Just to point out the sequence: I select Messaging -> Write New -> Text Message and then I press and hold the star key. Same (or lack thereof) is also happening when I try to reply to a text message.
Anyone had this problem before?
Ideas or advice greatly appreciated.

Had this prob myself. You need to go into more or options and change the language to english. Or you go into the same menu and turn t9 on again even if it says its on just re click it and should work. Pressing the star key never works for me

My language options were set to standard abc; changed it to English and now it works when pressing the star key.
