Hi,

Was having a few problems with my p910i recently and in the end had to do a master reset. since then, i've had a rather annoying problem in that I cannot access the contacts list. when i select the relevant icons, the contacts list section appears for a split second then quickly disappears.

I've tried exporting the phones contents and reimporting but with no success. I've tried syncing with outlook 2003 and whilst everything comes over ok, the contacts section just doesn't want to appear when the icon is selected. Not sure if the cdb file is corrupted on not.

Anybody, in their infinite wisdom, offer any clues on this issue.

regards

mathurin

I would go to the sonyercsson.com website and dowload their update manager to ensure you have the latest rom. If there is a newer rom, I would:
1) master reset the phone
2) download the latest rom
3) sync the phone with outlook
as an alternate to these steps I would
1) master reset the phone as it is
2) find an older version of a backup that was done before you started having problems
3) if problems persist - I would do the first three steps.
note: if you are having problems and you have done a backup, you are probably saving corrupt data to the backup, so any restore you do will also be corrupt.
Failing all the above - SE has in warranty and out of warranty service - you can open a problem log with them and send the phone in for repairs.
good luck.

It probably has something to do with the bug regarding the inability of writting anything at some point.I think it runs out of memory. Try reset it and it should work. That's all.
