Hi there,?Just out of interest, I started using Opera mini on my P910i, and although there is a dedicated UIQ version of Opera, the mini version is so so so much better. The only function missing is cut n paste, but I am getting 3G speeds from a GPRS connection on this, so its a minor caveat for me!?I urge you to check it out

) to my pone, whereas I could with the older Opera???!!!

yo , ..this browser is rediculously faster then the reg opera. I actually prefer surfing with it. I cant believe the display and the speed. Man this over gprs is amazing. I pay all my bills now in minutes which would take me longer with opera 6.3 wow man im really shocked i feel like i have edge on my 910 lol

yea man alot faster.....it preloads pages way faster even in its full image detailed mode. I really am shocked that its that faster. Good find its so easy to nav and pay bills now. But one bad thing is that i dont think that it supports secure encryptions....u can view but unsecure

Yeah, no support for the following:?Javascript,?Carriage returns (notice all the question marks, I'm using it now),?No support for https,?No support for cut n paste.?I will get in touch with Opera and see if they can produce a version more tailored towards UIQ instead of the generic java version.?Lawrence

Yeah, although I guess it depends what you want to do with it. I'd suggest giving it a try though

You can have both installed if you like, that's what I've got at the moment.
Here's some screengrabs for you anyway, so you know what it is I'm talking about:
This is the startup screen
This is the home screen type thing that Opera Mini displays first. Gives quick access to top four or five bookmarks, URL entry box and google search as well as a few of the items in history.
Yeah, this renders great, only takes a second or two to load as well
Not many settings to play with, but they're not really neccesary as it works well out the box.
I had to screengrab this
Myspace, a site that always crunches Opera 6.31 due to it's terrible HTML, works perfectly on Opera Mini, and quite possibly faster than it does on my desktop machine because Opera Mini preserves only the presentational elemtns that are important. Note that it also displays background colours which makes the web look that much nicer. Sometimes it's hard to read though, so maybe Opera should add something that doesn't display the background colour if the text colour # and the background colour # are too close together. There should be an algorithym somewhere on the internet that they could use.
As mentioned before, no HTTPS support. Sites using HTTPS display this message at the top to warn you. HTTPS sites, however, will still work, as they are HTTPS up to the Opera proxy server. Only bad thing is the security risk involved with everything from the Opera server to your phone being unencrypted, plain text. Live life on the edge eh?
Anyway, just thought I'd post these, they might come in handy
