I have a p910 from voda . I live in a country where voda does not operate. And i purchased this p910 from a friend who brought it from some other country where voda operates.

Currently The only thing about voda in this phone is the startup and shut down animation. Except for that there is nothing related to voda in this phone. And i can use it with any network.

My questions:
1) Is my phone normal or unlocked. I mean , does every vodaphone operates like this or only voda network can be used with a voda handset.

2) If my phone is unlocked, if i rest my phone to factory settings , would i have to unlock it again?

3) if i update my phone (update firmware) through se update service , would my phone get locked again ?

4) if i update my phone , what would happen to voda thing ??

Must be important if it requires 4 threads!

1) Is my phone normal or unlocked. I mean , does every vodaphone operates like this or only voda network can be used with a voda handset.

Unlocked, me thinks

2) If my phone is unlocked, if i rest my phone to factory settings , would i have to unlock it again?

No

3) if i update my phone (update firmware) through se update service , would my phone get locked again ?

Nope

4) if i update my phone , what would happen to voda thing ??

Think it will still be there, not sure?

your phone is network unlocked but still vodafone branded which is why the vodafone animation shows on start up.you wont need to unlock it again if you do a master reset.if you update your firmware, which would be good, the phone will function just like any other p910i.

SEUS Update will only update the phone with the "Voda Branded" firmware though, you would need to get someone to use a service tool to flash unbranded FW on there.

Really though, if it's just the startup and shutdown animation, you're probably best of saving money and just living with it.
