As a P800 user, I would like that P910 users help me, telling me some tips to do a fast examination covering the main specs/usual problems in a P910 used.
For example, I would say to a P800 buyer that:
. Check the internal antenna, because dust rust a bit that part in my P800
. Screen, looking for died dots, scratch
. Camera, test with some photos
blablabla...
anyone?

I'd check all the keys on the keypad (both sides), that they generate the characters they're supposed to.... Malfunctioning keypads are quite common on the P910.
On a general note, check if the phone's locked to any particular network. (Just insert your own SIM and see if it'll accept it.)
Make sure you get the device lock code and any changed SIM card PINs from the previous owner.

i would check if it is branded or not. if yes, then is there a newest firmware avaiable for that brand (r5b). remember, at this time there is still no way no SEUS II to unbrand a branded p910, and you dont want to have phone with some old firmware revision. check screen for scratches, check if its properly works on touch. check vibration, speakers - well, EVERYTHING

It is also quite common for the keyboard to develop a crack. This is because it's unsupported along it's width (To address this issue, the P990 has what appears to be a reinforcement bar). If it's there, the crack is often hard to see. It is on the top edge of the keyboard behind the "c" and back-arrow keys. Press/Flex the keyboard at this point to see if the crack is there. Even with the crack, keyboards will continue to work for a while, so check it carefully before purchase.

I will have a second hand unbanded unlocked P910 to sell withing a couple of weeks: I'm waiting the mail delivery of a new P910.
The only problem this P910 has is related to an intermitent bluetooth connection. They say it's hardware related, and the fix would be as expensive as buying a new P910.
So, because I use BT a lot, I'm buying a new one.
The outside is in fair condition. The screen is new (replaced) and I'm using a screen protector since day one.
It's super-stable (that's why I'm buying another) and never gave me any problems otherwise.
