i found that each phone has its own Approval Code and i can see this code on pc so if there is a java app can read the code from other phone and copare it from a list like this
http://homepage.mac.com/alvinmok/ericsson/types.html

why would you want to find out the model of nearby phones via bluetooth anyways? to help determine what phone names belong to what phone models that you can see nearby? or to scan for worth stealing mobiles in the proximaty!?

my

T610 shows the models of all phones found within its vicinity during a BT search........ that is, if they haven't been renamed.

It is possible to find the model of a phone using Bluetooth, but you'd need a bluesnarfing app to find that sort of information out.
Ive tested lots of apps, and none have the function, they only list the Bluetooth name, and not the phone model. One of the latest is BloooverII, it gives more information than other apps yet still does not provide the function.
