If your LCD screen has a dead pixel, it's usually stuck because the liquid in the liquid crystal display (TFT LCD) has not covered the whole screen. This can be easily fixed....don't know if this works for sure but i have read that it does!

Steps:

Turn off your computer.

Get yourself a damp cloth, so that you don't scratch your screen.
Apply pressure to the area where the dead pixel is. Do not put pressure anywhere else, as this may make more dead pixels.
While applying pressure, turn on your computer and screen.
Remove pressure and the dead pixel should be gone.
This works as the liquid in the liquid crystal has not spread into each little pixel.
This liquid is used with the backlight on your monitor, allowing different amounts of light through which give off different colours.

Many people report success with this technique but these instructions won't work in every case.
These instructions will fix "stuck" pixels, not "dead" ones. Dead pixels appear black while stuck pixels can be one constant color like red, green or blue.
An alternative, but similar technique involves gently massaging the stuck pixel on your screen.
If these instructions don't work, you can hopefully get the monitor fixed through your manufacturer.

or you can just run a pixel fixer program. The program basically flashes, red, blue, green, black, white colours and the pace stimulates the pixel.

The flashing colours didn't work for me either. I ran the mp4 for about 12hrs... I might try the pressure idea, one problem I have is that my fingers are much larger then a pixel so how can I only apply pressure on the one pixel?

does'nt matter about your finger size...just apply pressure to the pixel area.

if you press to hard you can leave a darker finger mark on the tft, trust it, it happened to a psp which was then returned because the screen was messing up lol.

I think maybe a cotton bud might be safer to try.
