Hey guys, browsed the site for awhile but finally came to registering when I felt like posting something.
So anyway, on to it. What is the preference for WM (no particular versiom) vs. Symbian games wise. I looked around for Windows Mobile games, but didin't find many. I mean it could be just me, but when i searched for Symbian games there were plenty.
And yes, I know about WM being PDA over mobile, and Symbian Mobile over PDA. Just curious about what others knew?

Buddy, when talking about Symbian you have to specify which interface! Symbian has a huge drawback. INCOMPATIBILITY ! Not only to different interfaces but also to previous versions. The S60 interface seems to be the most compatible and therefore the most widespread. If you are talking about this one then you are right. But when you refer to the symbian used in the Pxx series keep in mind WM5 is on the way 'in' while the 'old' UIQ is on the way out. As for the new UIQ - there is nothing to say because is not out yet. My point is - specify to which symbian version you want WM5 to compare it to and welcome to Esato. Greetings from South Africa. Mario :-)

you know mario, he never said he meant wm5 either.......
but as i have owned devices with uiq,s60 and wm2003 (as you see in my signature) i can say that if games is all that counts to you, get a ngage, there is no device with better games

(well it is a phone made for gaming

)

Sorry, my mistake. I swear I said UIQ but I guess I didn't, thats one of the reasons it is in this forum.
Windows Mobile isn't exactly my area of knowledge, not too much experience with it so I am just asking away and getting opinions. *shrug*
EDIT: Failed to mention that I would Either get p910i (UIQ is sexy

) or a better WM phone that suits my 'gaming' needs and features suited for me.
EDIT EDIT: Second edit, did some more looking at Ngage, its games are nice, Just no touchscreen. Also, I don't really want to cart round more then just the phone. With Ngage you carry the game catridges do you not? Or is there another way?

i think nokia is more concerned about their os' than SE. there are many more games or programs for s60 devices than uiq devices. SE should do better in softwares, especially when p990 comes because there will be a uncompatibility(i heard there was, maybe sorted out bot not sure) with the older uiq programs
i think WM is far more better than symbian, with a better interface adapted for touchscreen and better games(not only arcade).

I couldn't really find any games for Windows mobile, found a few on the mainsite but that was about it. Any help appreciated, and thanks so far.
EDIT: Well, another edit. sigh. Anyhoo, from what I am seeing I will make the assumption that PocketPc games are windows mobile compatible also yada yada? If thats the case, I would like someone to help me out to a phone that sounds like my likeing. Just point me in the direction of a few 9Windows Mobile ones that is) that don't have a keyboard, or one underneath like a few treo ones, and has a touchscreen. I assume masseur will be good at this from what I have seen is the guru for WM, unless I am confused with someone else.

@ SkitZaY, You did say UIQ in the topic header.
If your into gaming, and deciede to get a WM device make sure its powerful, Windows as it does on a PC uses alot of resources. Although to be honest the games on the P910 still ran pretty smoothly, although hardly anything decent ever game out.
I would personally say get a PSP though for gaming lol.

hehe, yeah.

But I still want a phone, always been a fan of smartphones.
So knowone knows whether pocket PC games go on Windows Mobile, becuase if they do I found over 400. XD
So basically it comes down to Symbian (p910i) or a Windows Mobile phone that catches my eye. I have been looking at o2 ones, mostly the IIi due to fact so many peoiple have tyrouble with atom, and I like large screens.
